I'm wondering because it has a 30-40 hours gameplay is it a 'free roam' game as this will decide if I get it ? And also is it worth getting? Is Deus ex human revolution a free roam game?
If the level design is anything like the first game, it's not free roam in a traditional sense. In every mission you're put into a new large area that you're free to explore to your heart's content, but it's not one big open world. As the game so heavily encourages choice, there are a lot of options on how you go about doing...well...anything. Although if I'm correct there's also somewhat of a "hub world", a base of operations, if you will, where you can explore, take side quests, etc.
Even if it's not exactly free roam, just get it. It's one of the games not to be missed this year.Is Deus ex human revolution a free roam game?
In a way, yes. You're given a lot of options to proceed with, so much that you pretty much have the entire place to explore on your own. The only parts where you lack this freedom is the bossfights. It's quite worth getting, most reviewers say so despite its flaws.
I'm not done playing it yet, but it is quite an interesting game to play in this age of "modern FPS" games.
