I have downloaded and cracked deus ex human revolution, but whenever I open it a message comes up saying 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution is already running on this computer, but can not switch to it. This is probably caused by the game running from a different user.' I am running an AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core QL-64 prosesor with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics. I have been able to run other games suc as bioshock 2, but is my computer to low spec to run the game?Why wont deus ex human revolution work?

RPG element is how you upgrade your equipment to give you several abilities like invisibility, super jump, enhancements to various stats, etc. Your character progression is based on how you kill your opponents. You can either choose to use stealth (gives you more exp) or go in guns blazing. Both of them work. As I said, gameplay mechanics are quite good.

I have a multi 7(Peacecorps) deus ex hr version. The problem is that it just stops at a startup. Ive tried everything, downloaded new drivers, downloaded patches, deleted and reinstalled many times...still nothing. The funny thing is that the ShiTRow version(only english) works just fine. So why the hell my multilanguage version doesnt work ? Pls help.

After looking into the newly released Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I am interested to say the least. However, it has also peaked my interest in the original Deus Ex. Since it is only $10 on Steam, would you recommend getting that game before playing Human revolution? I got the Augmented Edition on PS3 with bonus disk. However, the bonus disk works in none of my computers (none have a blu-ray drive) and my

That appears to be the case. I'm in the same situation, and I'm pissed. The packaging clearly states that it's a DVD, yet 3 different computers and DVD players all kicked it back as unreadable. My PS3 plays it just fine of course, but the soundtrack (the main reason why I got the Augmented Edition in the first place) has to be copied to a computer to be played, and I don't have access to a computer with a BD-ROM drive.

Most likley. I think it contains some bonus content for the game! The Ps3 reads Blu-Ray discs so try it in your Ps3 and it will most likley work.

Most likley. I think it contains some bonus content for the game! The Ps3 reads Blu-Ray discs so try it in your Ps3 and it will most likley work.

This is a very hard question as both of the games are very different, and both are the top of their own genre. I'll just give you my account of both of the games:
civilization V:
The best (in my opinion) turn based strategy game out there. Features tactical warfare, building your own society and discovering new stuff. Also features a fair bit of politics, you really have to think what you say to the other world leaders. Most fun in this game for me was either to try and replicate our real history as close as possible and then changing a few things (what if the nazis won?) or totally messing it up. Has a ton of replayability. WARNING: it is very addictive. And i mean ADDICTIVE.
Deus ex human revolution:
One of the best first person shooters out there, features a great story, fluent and fitting gameplay, and a lot of replayability (though i think civ V has more). The best thing about this game is that in different situations you can choose a different tactic depending on what kind of carachter you want to be playing (there are RPG elements in the game). For example, if you need to save a guy from kidnappers. You can talk your way in, sneak in, try and pick off the guards with a sniper rifle, go in and kill everyone, tap into the security network and reprogram the automatic turrets to attack the kidanppers instead of you etc. etc.

I watched 45 minutes of game-play which a developer walked through the game and explained many of the features, but still in those 45 minutes was able to show a small fraction of the choices and skill sets you may choose. I know Gamestop has a grenade launcher and an explosive device also with an electric lock breaker. Though I don't see the point in cutting out the lock mini-game its a bit like deleting a part of the game. Also, playing stealth is rewarded a bit in the game, I don't think a grenade launcher will aid in that :D However there will also be a cameo mission from the original deus ex character.
The other pre-order package has a double barrel shotgun and a long-range sniper rifle, also additional credits. An easy choice if you ask me.
Some nice benefits, or you can wait and get it used for 5 dollars less in a week. It'll sure to drop before too long, and the other guns will likely be DLC at some point. Do you know how o take cover? Aim your crosshair (not sure if its there since i beat it awhile ago and filled my brain with skyrim) but if it is you can right click to zoom in for accuracy can't you? Maybe you need to upgrade your augments. Idk

Then his girlfriend gets taken. Investigation and other missions ensue. I wont tell you anymore and ruin the story. You can upgrade your abilities since you have augmentations(robotic body parts).You can play stealth, gun your way through or a mix of both. There are multiple paths through each level for each play type. There is no mutliplayer at all. Single player only. It has tons of game play time though. I got the augmented edition for $70 and its well worth every penny. It has lots of replay value. Since you can play through without killing anyone then play through again gunning your way through to get different trophies. Also different characters help or hate you based on how you talk/treat to them. The only cons are long ish load screens and poor voice acting. so in one of the first REAL missions for deus ex human revolution im asked to handle a hostage situation so i played through the mission but i couldn't find where the hostages are. I need help cause i really want to find them do i have to go there lethal or non lethally. And if not where am i supposed to look. (i would like specifics)Deus ex human Revolution hostage situation?
Actually there are a number of other hostages that you can rescue on that mission. In one of the assembly line rooms (large room with the benches and L-shaped workstations), there is an upper area with only an office in it. This one is just before you enter the hallway with the cameras and two guys in the break-room watching TV. Inside the office will be the hostages, but they will warn you not to enter through the door; the bomb sitting in the middle of them also helps point out that fact. You can choose to go in through the door, but in order to rescue the hostages, you have to enter the room through a different way; there is a vent on the back wall of the office which provides a clue. Progress the mission as you would, until find a room where u can hear conversation between terrorists arguing about how to handle the dead body after killing one of the hostages (or police), As follows like this:
"no way i am gonna end up in jail because of this"
"he deserves it!"
"...find something to cover his body"
something like this....(sorry for bad memories, but i think that's enough since there is only 1 place in this mission where u can hear this kind of conversation.
That is the room where u find hostages.

Second way is a cheap shot, once u enter the room if u can manage to get downstairs without getting noticed, that's wonderful. then find your way to RIGHT HAND SIDE to where you are facing when you just got in. just under the stairs, there is a metal box move it then there is a secret path leads you straight to the hostage room. (for your information, during your time moving through secret path you will be sent to move across the top of a pipe ceiling, don't drop lol).
Either way once u get into that room, there is no way turning back, destroy the bomb is your only option. You can either destroy through explosives or hacking to shut it down, it is your call, BUT YOU ONLY HAVE AROUND 25 SECONDS AFTER YOU ENTER THE ROOM.
Note: if u chose explosives to destroy the gas bomb, punch the guy siting just next to the table, don't kill him since u are here to save them, this allows u to drag him away from the bomb on table (otherwise u can't move him) Then plant your explosives. if you don't move the guy, he will be killed by your explosives ! and mission failed. Explosives method will attract a lot of attention, thus takedown enemy before u do this, or u will just get busy on this. It won't change the story if you use this method to save hostages since the guy you punch will give some "repay" later on (mention later), u can still talk to him because SWAT will wake him up :) after the mission is finished.

Then they will introduce you to another weapon dealer other than the 2 guys in the gas station for permanent discount (discount cuts over 50% it is quite amazing).

Should I get Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC or 360?
Just to make it clear, my computer is pretty good quality and I believe it will be able to run the game.

How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?
I've read the reviews and seen all the comments, but no one has discussed the story much yet in terms of is it "good" or "deep". The soundtrack sounds deep and haunting and if this is any indication of how the story is, then I want to buy the game. Some of my favorite games are favorites because of the stories (entirely story for Metal Gear Solid haha) I've seen and enjoy how the gameplay is but my question is, how is the story?How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?
It's a very deep and philosophical story that makes you think about the social and political upheavals in present day. Games usually don't do that. It's mainly about the issue of transhumanism, the role of government, cyberpunkism, issue of all powerful corporations, elite secret socities, and human destiny. The final battle and endings can seem quick though after everything you did throughout the length of the game. Though personally Deus Ex 1's story is still the best and most socially relevant even though it's 10 years old.
If you like Metal Gear then Deus Ex will remind you of it. The level of detail is amazing.
It's not a bad story, if you ask me. What's so refreshing about it is how morality is dealt with in the game.
Most games nowadays have that black/white morality system, where you have choices but it's always either a) feed the puppy and bring it home or b) kick the puppy to death.
In this game, you instead get a conflict between pro-augmentations and anti-augmentations. Choices in the story barely matter in the long run, consequence is almost non-existent (you can kill as many hobos as you like without losing "good points" or any repercussions), but I think the issue is dealt rather cleverly.
It's nothing amazing, but it's at least refreshing. It's not a mindf**k like Metal Gear Solid is.
edit: Also as you may have noticed the voice acting is rather strange. I don't think horrible, just strange. It's better than the original Deus Ex's, but equally memorable in its own way =] Surprisingly enough there is pretty accurate Mandarin voice acting.How good is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's story?

You can choose to be stealthy or offensive, but it won't change any cutscenes. Similar to how dialogue options don't alter character behavior much. That is something you should take into consideration. Other than that, I found the story to be quite interesting. The beginning felt a little quick and didn't give too much back story. Also some of the voice acting can be painful. Overall I think it's a pretty good story.
Its a very dark game. Somewhat interesting storyline but got bored of it quickly.
Everyone has their own opinion about anything.
Mine is i did not enjoy the game as well as i thought i would based on seeing the trailer and reading the script so i deleted it.

Why only one of my energy bars recharges in Deus Ex Human Revolution?

Yes, only one recharges because in the original Deus Ex, NONE of the energy cells recharged at all, so I imagine that the team wanted to stay true with this as much as possible, but most gamers today want an easier time, so they made one energy cell recharge. Also, if all the energy cells recharged, and you had the augment for faster recharge, then the game would be completely unbalanced, as you could simply takedown everyone in a room with ease.
You have to consume those energy bars, which I find extremely easy to come by. If you can't find them, then maybe you need to explore more?

It is not Eliza Cassan, but that girl with the weird hair that has the cloak that comes up right after seeing Eliza Cassan. I tried 10 times before going down to easy, and it's still hard. I have put emp grenades by the generators to bring her health down, then shot around 100 heavy rifle bullets at her, and she hasn't died yet. n deus ex human revolution, Eliza Cassan will "whisper" in Jensen's ears about how to defeat Yelena Fedorova. It took a while to understand her rumblings. In the meantime, let's reflect on Yelena Fedorova. She is the second-in-command to Namir in the attacks on Sarif Industries. To understand her tactics will allow Jensen to defeat her.
Yelena Fedorova will cloak, and make herself invisible. The only way to tell where she is in the near white room is to be close to her. To be close to Yelena Fedorova is too dangerous, as her melee attack will take Jensen down straight away. Alternatively, one could look at the water on the floor of the room to determine if Yelena is advancing towards you. However, she is moving too fast, and it's too hard to avoid her melee, charge and shotgun attacks when she is too close. One suggested way is to look at the radar instead, and see when Yelena turns into an orange arrow on the radar, and prepare Jensen's own assault when she is about to get close.
The options for Jensen's assault include cloaking too, and then attacking Yelena when she can be seen. Press Q and realize the failure of this method, as Yelena will counteract Jensen's sneak attack. Next, one can use the shotgun approach to attack Yelena when she is uncloaked and Jensen is cloaked. However, it does not appear to work. Maybe Yelena's skin and defense augmentation is too strong.
This is when Eliza Cassan's words start to make sense. She is saying that Yelena has the typhoon weapon upgrade made by Sarif Industries. She is also saying that destroying the power generators will temporarily hamper Yelena. Put the two together, and that means that Jensen need to use his Typhoon weapon upgrade. Head to one of the power generators, and position Jensen so that his back is against the power generators. Wait for the Eliza Cassan's warning that Yelena is close by and see this as the orange arrow on the radar. Next prepare to unleash Jensen's typhoon weapon as she is getting really close to damage the power generator. When the power generator is damaged and starts unleashing electricity (Jensen is damaged too), Yelena is stunned. Use the shotgun attack to attack Yelena. Repeat this as necessary depending on the difficulty level of the game. Finally Yelena Fedorova is defeated, and Jensen obtains the Mantis Achievement.

The rocket launcher as mentioned before. It can be accessed by stacking boxes, OR you can sneak through a ventilation shaft which has two access points.
The first is underneath the closest raised platform to the elevator you come down, and the second is in the farther raised platform. Both vents can be crawled through until you read a turn off which will take you to the launcher.
EMP Grenades and EMP Mines will instantly kill the robot as well. EMP Grenades can be found in crates and picked off soldiers both in the facility and in the upper area before you reach the facility. EMP Mines can be made by sticking and EMP Grenade in an empty Mine Template. There is at least one empty Template BEFORE you fly to the facility.

Although if I'm correct there's also somewhat of a "hub world", a base of operations, if you will, where you can explore, take side quests, etc.

Just use close combat techniques to disable the guards, tricky on higher difficulties. grab the weapons they drop and fire at the robot. Be sure to have cover, as it will shred you out in the open. Time your attacks and ensure its attention is on you, not the aircraft.
I did this on the hardest difficulty, with only one grenade and Tranquilizer rifle. It will take a while to get it right.

Deus ex HM is a shooter that has plenty of freeroam, but you have to be interested in the story and learning new ways to get past objectives so it might get boring to you if you just like being "gung ho" and i have no problem with that, but sometimes it might be better if you go stealthy in some situations :)
